: : : : : : : : : : : Would love to see Reggie Morris coach kids from HIS school district. He would get his tail kicked. How many transfers at Culver so far?
: : : : : : : : : : funny what you would "love".. what his district anyways? fact is he wins where ever he goes and is one of the most respected coaches on the scene... second fact, a lot of coaches get plenty of talent but cant win league let alone multiple cif and state titles. he gets talent sure, but get the MOST of his talent...
: : : : : : : : : What clown would bring up such a notion when all the private school have kids who are not from the neighborhood. Reggie is one of the best coaches on the scene. I played for his dad and recognize game when I see it. Get a life clown.
: : : : : : : : And besides he did. When he was at Redondo the first year he won with 5 Redondo kids in the starting lineup
: : : : : : : :: if I'm not mistaken, Culver City has open enrollment.
: : : : : : : Culver City has (6) transfers with (2) pending, from my understanding you must live in the area (City of Culver City) we all know Cyrus, TJ and other transfers donít live in the area but have obtained addresses in the area. What kid in their right mind leaves Arizona for Culver City HS? Reggie and his coaches are always up to no good, only a matter of time!
: : : : : Anyone in their division going to be able to compete with them or are they a lock for CIF champs? I think they are in a pretty low division, 4 or 5 if I'm not mistaken.
: : : : Add to that the WCE Coach on his staff who picks up the transfer from Price every morning and drives him to Culver.
: : : Whole lot of hating and jealousy on this post!
: Hating? Jealosy? This is the problem with society today. Someone points out that a coach that has now been at at least 3 public schools has out of district players playing for him and has close connections to an elite club program. I suppose since the coach is black we should assume that anyone questioning his methods is racist? What a joke. Typical of the "yelling fire in a crowded theater" mindset we have today. Lots of folks yelling fire, but no firemen ever show up, just more "disenfranchised" folks yelling fire. In defense of Coach Morris - his teams are well coached and they win. With open enrollment it is not surprising that parents and student-athletes would want to play for his program. Additionally, he seems like a classy guy and his sideline temperament is exemplary. Until someone shows me a smoking gun, I will not call him a cheater, nor will I bash those that feel there is undue influence in so many players transferring to his school(s).
I have no problem with him recruiting. If CIF gives it a stamp of approval then hey he has jumped over the hurdles he needed to. What I do wish could happen however is for this NEW and improved team to be placed in the correct division. I don't think he is good enough in his first year to jump all the way to the Open division but perhaps they should be placed in division 1 or 2. The current system does not account for a team that has suddenly become better or one that has suddenly lost all of its talent to graduation or players transferring out.
