: : : : MD would have beat CH in the upcoming season
: : : : WITH Lamelo anyway! MD - consistancy for 35 years!
: : : MD or any of the private schools should dominate high schools sports just based on the recruiting power at their disposal. I am just glad Chino Hills, a public school, put a 102-54, beat down on MD in 2016. This is probably the worst defeat ever on a McKnight-coached team. How about we just remember that and move on.
: : You're joking right? Lavar used his "recruiting power" to bring kids in to a public school. In fact, he was trying to do it again this year until Lattimore and the admin finally put a stop to it. He was so desperate to recruit kids to put around his sons he even let Eli Scott move into their house.
: Now, I know the hate Castor, but lets talk basketball here. Big O and Lamelo fed off each others energy. They play with eacxh other probably since their younger years. That alone will win you big games! They played in big games most of their hs careers. Now, with his limited skills on the offensive side, do yyou think he's ready to be the no. 1 guy?. Time will tell... I'm all for it, but lets see how Compton Magic improve his skills. Look, he is perfect at playing the second guy because he is great at it!
I totally think he's ready to be the #1 guy. Against Long Beach Poly in the playoffs last year CHHS actually got him involved and he had 29 points, 16 rebounds, 5 blocks and completely dominated. You only think he's limited on offense because CHHS never gave him a chance to shine on that end of the floor. I DO agree with you though about the Compton Magic assessment. If they really "make players better", than Big O should have a huge year.
