: : : : : Looking for Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh/Soph teams interested in participating in the Taft/ Dorsey Fall Showcase to take place at Dorsey HS on October 28, 2017, We will be using both gymnasiums, there will be CIF Certified Officials and the best part of it all is the cost. $35 per game. The Varsity teams committed thus far are as follows:
: : : : : Bishop Montgomery, Culver City, Long Beach Poly, Orange Lutheran, Taft, Dorsey, Blair, View Park, Van Nuys, Fairmont Prep & Washington Prep
: : : : : So if you want to get in on the action, please do not hesitate to reach to Coach Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org
: : : : City School hoops is back. Culver City, Taft and Van Nuys already have good teams and coaching. I'm hearing that Dorsey is about to be on a serious rise with their new coach. He already have them going. It's good to see this and the city school coaches working together.
: Who is the new coach at Dorsey
: : : Culver City is not an LA City Section School. It's in the CIF-SS, along with Beverly Hills, Inglewood, etc. All public schools, but not part of LA City.
: : : Taft, Van Nuys and Dorsey are LA CIF-City Section though, so you got that right.
: : Inglewood is in the Bay League.
Who cares? Fine, let's say Public vs Private. Public school basketball is on the come up. Probably because of the crooked coaches and admins at the private schools. Parents are wising up to the scam. Most of these private schools don't offer a better education than a public school. Pasadena High School education is the same as LaSalle. Taft education is the same as Chaminade. Village Christian's education bottom level. Go to a public school where the coaches are doing it out of love for the game and the kids.
