: : : : : : : :PJ Fuller from Seattle is a 2 guard. Second leading scorer on the state of Washington championship team. Nathan Hale high school. He will be a " big " help !
: : : : : : He's the piece they were missing. Who do they start? Freedman, Fuller, Wang, Bol and... Butler? Lundeen wasted what could have been an amazing high school career. A lot of guys did. Only one OC kid starting? Take note parents.
: : : : : I think that PJ Fuller has been there for 3 weeks already. PJ will help and is will fit into the Mater Dei system.
: : : : : Did OC parents think that Mater Dei cares about local kids. Mater Dei is a national power. They don't care about local talent.
: : : : The only way to compete at the highest level is to continue to bring high quality players. I believe other Trinity schools have begun to do the same but their network is not as well established as MD. I for one, like the new playoff format where all these schools (that regularly recruit) play one another.
: : : I agree. I don't mind schools recruiting. I think that Sierra Canyon does a good job at recruiting kids and putting a pause button on it. They didn't recruit for any position since they're starting core was there with Remy, Cody and those guys. They had to take Marvin. That's a no brainer. Mater Dei does a good job of it to. And it's great that they play against each other.
: : : But when schools like Village or Heritage just starts recruiting kids, jerking people over & playing weak schedules, then it's a problem
: : Recruited whole new team for this year though. LOL
: But they had to because all of their guys graduated. Then once they got the guys at the positions that they wanted they didn't try to add more at that same spot. They learned their lesson after messing up their relationship with Derryck Thorton. Derryck was the best pg but they kept messing around with the roster. Now everybody at Sierra Canyon knows who's starting, their roles & it should all be fair.
"They had to because all their players graduated" is what is becoming increasingly wrong with high school sports.
Oh, and they recruited so many players that the kid of the guy who built the gym transferred out after going there forever along with the rest of his family.
And they still won't win CIF.
That being said, they will be really fun to watch.
