: : : The Del Rey league has become one of my favorite. It has been dominated by the PowerHouse Bishop Montgomery but they also have Serra, St. Bernard, Cantwell Sacred Heart & Cathedral.

: : : *Bishop has lost (4) kids from the program to Culver City (how does this happen) and they still have Singleton, Fletcher, and Hunt. Are they still the favorite?
: : : *Serra return the big kid Doctor and PG EJ Jackson who will also play football, Kobe will focus solely on Football which hurts them a bit but they did add Andre from a Cantwell.
: : : *Cathedral program has hit a wall, my understanding is they've lost (5) kids who transferred to other schools notably Noah Fernando to (Heritage Christian) and Alex Atkins who will be on his 3rd school and they graduated Mike Mensah. They've brought in some talent from (Las Vegas) Clark Hs but seeing them play they're not what Cathedral is used to .
: : : *Cantwell has a new coach but still have some talent remaining there. Losing the big guy to Serra really destroys their interior but they put together an amazing Spring and Summer.
: : : *St. Bernard the younger of all teams bring back 8 players from last year team. Through the wires I hear a lot of things and they could be bringing in two top players to help put them over the top. They load the floor with basketball players who can be interchangeable and play multiple positions. Mook Harris has been good of late. Big man inside Romelle also has been stronger with Cal supreme and they're so well coached that their only one way but up.

: : : What do you all think?

: : Bishop is the OPEN STATE CHAMPION. They are the favorites PERIOD. Love the open mindedness and the positive discussion.

: : Who left to CC besides Johnson?

: As long as Mitchell is at Bishop, they will always compete for league title

: : word around town is Culver City is trying to lure Gianni Hunt away from Bishop, also the big sophomore Bradley E. is close to leaving. A few younger role guys have also left for Culver City HS. St. Bernard and Serra will be ultra competitive. I also like Cantwell too.
