: : : : : : Is it true that private high school are allowed to charge $$$ for a student to "try-out" for the team? I'm talking the actual process and not referring to a Spirit Pack Charge or anything like that? I've been told that a private school in LA is charging kids just to try out, while at the same time recruiting kids globally. This is ridiculous, and the administration at the school knows and allows it to happen!!!

: : : : : I know the school your talking about and it's been going on for a couple of years, supposedly the costs are also separate for Spring & Summer this is not the norm in most places.
: : : : : The administration has received complaints but yet they won't address the situation & it's a shame because there are some good people working there but if it's allowed I wouldn't send my kid.
: : : : : this is probably the same school with the Prep School attached.

: : : : :say the damn name! Are u afraid?

: : : cathedral

: : If you do not like it stop playing for a year. Can you get everyone to join in. No, because there are always scabs that will take the position.

: : What you should do is this. If your son is good enough to make the team than so be it. If he makes the team great. If the coach or any administration cuts the player you now have a nice lawsuit. The school district will settle out of court and your little johnny will be back on the team as your family gets a little extra cash from the suit. Enjoy and good luck to you and your family.

: ::isn't that GREAT advice! You are such a loser! You make me want to vomit
