: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Who's the best team? I know West Ranch with Galuppo will be good and Valencia had that Trower kid and Hart has some solid players. Who's gonna be at the top though?
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : I think hart will win the league but Valencia will be a tough opponent. But, sccs is the best team in Santa Clarita

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : SCCS by a mile. SCCS will actually be a good team & not just in Santa Clarita. They'll smash any foothill league team & will probably try to schedule Mission & Olympic league teams before their weak league play. SCCS should schedule Sierra Canyon & get that name win under their belt.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Since when did SCCS get good??? Did I miss something?

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :SCCS will be demolished by Sierra or the likes. These freekin Santa Clarita folks hyping up their kids, lol

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : idk about demolished...SCCS is gonna have a squad...they got 5 transfers. 5 GOOD TRANSFERS too

: : : : : : : : : : : : : SCCS did not get 5 GOOD transfers. Penberthy is HS solid. The bigs from San Diego are big but solid players. The Starr brothers are good. SCCS returns a HS solid combo guard and has a HS solid freshman combo guard. But they play good together.
: : : : : : : : : : : : : SCC can 100% beat Sierra Canyon. This isn't Marvin Bagley, Cody Riley and those boys Sierra Canyon. This Sierra Canyon team is bad and has ever worse coaching. SCC would be the #1 team in the mission. Yes they'd beat Alemany. They're coaching is better. DJ would slaughter SCC guards but that's it. SCC is better everywhere else. Don't mention Fred. Jordan Starr is better.

: : : : : : : : : : : : And SCC is like 25% of what Village Chr would've been this year. GotDamn Village would've had a squad this year. Lol. But SCC should be good. And they're young. So they'll be good for a while. They'd beat Sierra Canyon. The only SoCal teams that they'd have no shot at beating is Taft, Bernard, Mater Dei & Corona Cent. They could compete with most other teams.

: : : : : : : : : : : : don't get me wrong , sccs is good and will win the state due to their low division. But they are not one of the eliete teams in so cal . They r just a solid team . They would loose to alemany due to their lack of size and dj would demolish their guards . They are a solid all around team .

: : : : : : : : : : No shot at beating St Bernard?? they barely lost to them a couple weeks ago without the Lowery brothers. Corona Centennial is going to be a very average team this year cus they're so young and Taft is just Kihei. SCCS will hold their own with anyone. Dj isn't working ANYONE he's too small and his shot isnt good enough.

: : : : : : : : : Bernard got better every game over the Summer. SCCS would make it a watchable game but they can't beat Bernard. ^This fool said that DJ is too small. Is Kihei too small to? When someone says that a player is too small, at the guard spot, then that person should be ignored. And who on SCCS is even close to DJ? Saying that SCCS guards are solid is polite af. Name the guards that's in the same league as DJ so that we can laugh. DJ as a freshman would smoke those kids.

: : : : : : : : kihei and dj are different players...kihei plays at his own smooth pace but i still think he'd be too small as well.
: : : : : : : : Both Starr brothers as guards are better than DJ hands down
: : : : : : : : it's just a shame we wont get to see it happen. You "fools" are just assuming that they cant be guards cus they're both 6'6
: : : : : : : : News flash most guards are 6'5 plus wake

: : : : : : : lol stop it jack
: : : : : : : Kihei just won the EYBL championship and was named MVP. He played against Tre Jones, Cole Anthony & other future lottery picks. I can assure you he would destroy any & all SCC guards, forwards & centers. They are a good valley team but lets not get carried You shouldn't have responded to anyone who said that Clarke is too small, or that DJ is too small, or that Santa Clarita Christian has guards on that level.
: : : : : I've seen SCCS play. I refuse to put Clarke in the same conversation as SCCS "guards." When Clarke was at Buckley wasting away on that Cocaine Campus I said that Buckley has a future high major pg that needs to leave. This was 4 years ago. A few months back, during the HS season, when I said that Clarke was a high major D1 player and could fit right into Oregon, Cal, ASU, Texas Tech and get them to the field of 32 as a freshman, guys on the forum laughed and said that UC Davis was his limit. Really? Who are you following, Jack Pollon or one of these terrible size queen club or HS coaches? "Who are you Justin?" I'm just the guy that's been 100% right, 99% of the time with this.
: : : : : Clarke was better in 8th grade than SCCS' guards will be their freshman year... of college. Stop it. And I like SCCS and think that they will do well as a team. Caden Starr will be the best player on the team by the end of the season. Jordan Starr is the best player now.
: : : : : DJ is a UC Riverside commit. If someone is saying that SCCS guards are better than him, it's time to question why you're speaking to those people about basketball. Not because of UC Riverside, but because the talent gap is too wide.
: : : : : But did someone say that SCCS is small? Um... no they're not. And SCCS would beat Alemany 4 out of 5 times

: : : : C'mon Justin everything u say is self proclaimed. Let's not be ridiculous Kihei is a GREAT player but he is undersized and he isn't explosively athletic to make up for the lack of size so yes UC Davis is his max. And the EYBL is good but there's also 0 defense being played. UC Riverside and UC Davis let's think about these programs...They're basically both D2 programs they dont win any games and try arent going to the tournament
: : : : so stop overhyping these guys up. they're both good but they arent any better than the 4 dudes SCCS has are they different yes they're different players but no better if any better at all.
: : : : Just wait
: : : : You know nothing about talent evaluation! Kihei has major offers since Peach Jam & that is the one circuit where they do play defense. If you watched the game on ESPN you would have heard all the REAL scouts raving about him. He gave Jaylen Hands thirty something points last year and he was the best guard on the west coast. Stop hating and give him, DJ and every other kid who actually earns what the respect they deserve. Your comparing them to kids that wouldn't and haven't started on other high school teams yet.

: : Mini-scorers are generally kept on a short leash by NCAA coaches, so if Kihei can't distribute at the D1 level, he wouldn't make it in the PAC-12. His Junior year highlights do remind me of a recent undersized PAC-12 4-year starter who had a couple decent tournament runs. Kihei scores better at this stage but he is shoot first, and scoring from that position doesn't always translate to the next level.

: : If he can carve a niche as a distributor, and learn when to pick up the dribble, he will have a good D1 career. Still, there are shots he takes that D1 point guards don't look for.

: Name the SCCS guards better than Kihei or DJ. Kihei and DJ are earned D1. DJ is a low D1 and Kihei is a high D1. SCCS "guards" are D3, maybe. D2 if Tank Titan gets better.

Exactly. Not one SCCS guard would start for Alemany, Harvard Westlake, Crespi, Loyola and that's just Mission schools. SCCS's starting guards would be on jv for most other schools.
