: : : : : : Looks like Jon Palarz has resigned at Chaminade. Is this setting up his return to Calabasas?
: : : : : Yes, going to be AD and HC at Calabasas.
: : : : : Mission League opening is always a big draw.
: : : : : Paging Justin....
: : : : I heard that they offered the old coach Wolfson the job back this AM. He's coming in tomorrow to discuss.
: : : Wolfson, demand $6 digits and min 5 year guarantee. Yes, private high schools pay 6 digits people!
: : Oh you knew that this was coming. Let's start with Sierra Canyon. They're bad. Cassius is playing point guard but it may or may not be by design. They just don't have a decent point guard on the roster. Cassius is the best athlete on SC but most of the time it feels like Feiberg is their best basketball player. If you don't know the difference please don't respond with attacks to that comment.
: : St. Bernard beat SC and it wasn't close. Bernard is just a better team and better coached. Bernard isn't big, they don't have a pg, but everyone knows their roles. Someone on twitter was trying to tell me that Harris is a point guard. They were also trying to tell me that Anderson from Fairfax is a pg. Neither one is. Please stop. But Bernard puts their kids in the best areas to do well. Wait... that's called good coaching. I'm convinced that Sierra Canyon's practices are a series of youtube individual workout drills. There's no team chemistry there and nobody knows their roles and every player tries to do what they're not capable of doing.
: : Chaminade...
: : ...............................................months ago I said that Coach Palarz was probably going to leave to be AD/Coach/GM/Hall Monitor at Calabasas. People responded with 'You don't know what you're talking about Justin' 'Stop acting like a know it all Justin' 'You're not in the loop Justin.' Well guess what? Coach Palarz has resigned from Chaminade and is taking a AD/Coach role with Calabasas.
: : Calabasas is a good fit for Coach Palarz and much better than Chaminade, if Chaminade wants a hoops program that we deserve. He's a good coach for Calabasas, Notre Dame, BUckley etc. Not that Chaminade is Mater Dei, but there were signs of promise under Todd Wolfson. The location of the school is great.
: : The timing of Palarz leaving is bad. There's not a lot of time to get a good coach and a most transfers already selected their new school. I would like for Pres Webb to come out and say what direction he sees the program going. I wanted Harvard Westlake's JV coach but the question is if HW assistant/jv coach is better than head varsity coach for Chaminade, right now? Todd Wolfson was not offered the job... yet. But if he is, I hope that he takes it. But keep the St Fran kids at St Fran. I've seen them play. No offense. But keep them at St. Fran. After watching St. Bernard yesterday I'd like to see more of that coach. Young coach, maximizes on players abilities. It's easy to get Raheem and Mook(His real name is Mook) into St. Bernard. It's time for Chaminade to accept in qualified kids. Oh, hey Webb stop preventing kids from getting in because you don't want to give financial aid. That money is going to your pockets. Get kids in. A good high school coach is only going to ask to get kids in once every 3 years. If they're doing a Heritage Chr then it's actually a pretty bad coach.
: : Jack Pollon is throwing out names that will either be stagnant for the program or set us back. What coaches out there would be good for Chaminade to target if Webb is serious? Please don't say Russ White or Jamal Adams or anyone that we know isn't leaving their school.
: ..Webb should face his mistakes . Nepotism
Todd Wolfson wont come .. Webb hurt him too much and the boys he cared about ... Karma Karma Blame Abunnasar . He sucked in Webb from what I see .. soap opera over there ..
