: : : : Let's start with Dinos' tweet "1st @PangosAACamp alum pick in this year's draft: Lonzo Ball. It won't be the last!" He's actually claiming Lonzo. The craziest part of this is that Jack Pollon called him out on it. Jack Pollon. Jack Pollon was the sense of moral reasoning. How terrifying is that? Remember that Jack said that Ryan Moore is a great coach, St Francis has a good team and Village Chr is a great program.
: : : : "C'mon Justin, not Village again." Oh... but how right was I?
: : : : Village Chr won't have a football team because players transferred. Sondy is reporting this and said that Village has yet to return his phone calls. 2 years ago there were guys saying that I was on Winward and Chaminade too hard. And then we saw their ridiculousness. Chino Hills hoops had 4 years, and continuing, of nepotism. But at Village Chr we're seeing a program so bad that the entire varsity basketball team left and the football team lost over 20.
: : : : What Villain is running that place? Sondy said that Village is not returning phone calls to ask about the program. Village is ignoring that they're supposed to be a school. Shouldn't there be transparency and at least easy answers to why over 35 athletes and an unknown amount of other students transferred? How isn't the school under CIF investigation? The leadership of the school are children. An adult would take some sort of accountability. Village Chr & Jack Pollon is literally blaming their loss of a football team on the "concussion era." I'm serious. So nearly every study or long term effects of the "concussion era" on the game of football has a ripple of approx 40 years. But somehow Village Chr was devastated by it now.
: : : 1. This isn't a football board and no one here cares about why Village Christian does or doesn't have a football team. When they stop having a basketball team, be sure to let us all know.
: : : 2. No one connected with Village Christian's admin or athletic department reads this message board. And if you knew anything at all about how the CIF Southern Section works, you'd know that they don't investigate why students leave a school. If you have a problem with the way Village Christian administers their extracurricular programs, or the way their admins run the school, go talk to them about it. But to post such stuff here, repeatedly, is just boring and pointless.
: : : 3. What is it with your obsession about Eric Sondheimer, Jack Pollon and other newspaper guys. They don't work here, don't write here, and other than Pollon posting some tournament info from time to time, or game results during the season, they never post anything here. So why has this become your preferred dumping ground for the incessant carping you do about them and their Twitter postings? Why don't you just confine your replies to Twitter, where you can interact with them directly.
: : : 4. Dino Trigonis can say whatever he wants, and usually does. So what? Doesn't make it so. And BTW, only Lavar has the pwoer to "speak it into existence." Man, I thought you'd have learned at least that much by now.
: : Other things Village doesn't have:
: : Gourmet coffee
: : Comfortable chairs
: : Textbooks that teach about evolution
: : Muslims
: : Trees
: : Jews
: : Laser Tag
: : Buddhists
: : And evidently, a football team.
: : Who knew?
: Not having a football team means the school is de-emphasizing athletics in general. Village will be the largest school in LA without even an 8-man team, and apparently went from 11-man football to nothing, without having an 8-man team in between. This is the canary in the mineshaft. The school is cutting financial aid almost entirely, it would seem. Either that or "Get Out 2" is under production in Sun Valley.
I can believe that the school is missing all of the things list in two posts above except for Laser tag. Have you seen that place? Once dusk occurs it's time to pull out the laser tag vests and try to pass the bunkers (classrooms) and trenches (quad) for the other's team flag.
Village didn't cut the football team for budgetary reasons. Families transferred. According to a Village coach, who actually acknowledged the bad atmosphere there, 6 families went to Oaks Chr and enough transferred to cause the school to have to cancel football. Basketball is 2-3 transfers away from cancelling their team.
Oh... can't have "Get Out 2" if there isn't any African-Americans on campus. Village appears to have decided that they're going for the "Eastern European boarding house" look. Rebranding.
I'm done with Village until the do something silly again. I do want to thank them for consistently giving new material every week.
