: : : : : : : : : : : : : : Wondering who everyone thinks are the best coaches taking into consideration, X's and O's, development of players and finally making sure kids are on the straight and narrow. Thanks for your opinions.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : 1.Mckight at MD 2. Katani at Rolling Hills Prep formally of Fairfax 3. Azzam at Westchester 4. Crespi Coach White 5. Hoffman at La Canada

: : : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : : : I'm a big Russell White guy. If you buy into his style/system/method, you will leave a better player/student/person. Which is what high school sports is supposed to be about.

: : : : : : : : : : : As of right now #1 is Doug Mitchell hands down. They beat Mater dei twice, chino hills and sierra canyon. His teams play hard, play smart and play with discipline.
: : : : : : : : : : : 1. Mitchell
: : : : : : : : : : : 2. Mcknight
: : : : : : : : : : : 3. Azam
: : : : : : : : : : : 4. Le Duc
: : : : : : : : : : : 5. Can be anyone. I like mulligan at capo.

: : : : : : : : : : 1: Stephan Gilling, formerly Chino Hills, 30-3 & #4 in the state last year.
: : : : : : : : : : 2. Jon Shaw, formerly Village Christian, multiple CIF's.
: : : : : : : : : : 3. Steve Baik, Fairfax & formerly Chino Hills, won the national title, coached and mentored the #1 pg that year in Lonzo Ball, sent multiple kids to college.
: : : : : : : : : : 4. Paul Tait, Heritage Christian, coached his team to a #24 USA ranking.

: : : : I love that the top two on list were fired...

: : : : : : : : : : Does that list look crazy? That's to all of the folks that point to w-l's when talking about a good coach. Coaching is about having values and teaching kids to.
: : : : : : : : : : Jamal Adams at Loyola and Russ White is near the top of the list. Tom Kelly at Hart in Newhall is lowkey a good coach. Never has talent but his teams play the right way and play hard.

: : : : : : : : : Forgot about Adams. Good coach, good guy, teaches accountability and values.

: : : : : : : : For all of you that don't have Mitchell in your top 2- you are either smoking to much Ganja or you just don't know what the hell you are talking about(maybe both)!

: : : : : : : Gilling couldn't coach his way out of a shoe box and couldn't even keep his job at Chino Hills.

: : : : : : It was a joke! The list that had Gilling, Baik, Shaw and Taite was a list of the WORST coaches, not the best. Hahahah.

: : : : : Bishop Mont Coach is really good. As is guy at Esperanza. Saw them both last year. Talented teams but played really well together. Also saw Calabasas last season and they were well coached.

: : : In no order, I am looking for culture coaches, give me:

: : : Ed Azam
: : : Russell White
: : : Gary McKnight
: : : Dave Kleckner
: : : Doug Mitchell
: : : Todd Wolfson
: : Aaron Shaw

:
: Always overlooked. Not much talent in the last few years but had it going in thee 90's & 20"s with the neighborhood kids. All about the kids and life learning lessons. John Halagan - Woodbridge HS

Tucker at Maranatha is solid. White at Crespi is great. Azzam is a legend. Mitchell at BM takes talent and has them share the ball. LeDuc at Damien has multiple ships and McKnight is the GOAT.
