: : So why has it become a thing that no one even cares about the freaking hold backs anymore. Everyday when I watch highlights of players that we're in my son's grade when he was in fourth grade or so, and now they're like two or three years below. Yet it's gotten to a point where no one even mentions it anymore, instead they just talk about the problem with transfers. It's gotten pretty out of control. An example of this is Cassius Stanley, who's a double hold back. Everyone talks about how phenomenal he is, yet he should be going into his freshman year of college. So has it become an acceptance thing with it since there's not much anyone can do at this point, or is everyone so crappy that they don't even care anymore?

: My son could've been held back 5 times and he still couldn't jump like that guy. I'm not a fan of holdbacks either but sometimes these kids are really special

When the kid is 11 and plays up a grade or two everyone sees high talent. Than the kid turns 18 and he wants to play down. Which one is it people?! Hopefully the young man gets a quality education because basketball is NOT in his future. ANY holdbacks tell everyone he just does not have what you wish he did. There are only 400 NBA player jobs. Wake up and face reality. This seems like a classic case of a future welfare baby. Dog chasing it's own tail.
