: : "The fans and parents are tough in Santa Clarita Valley, which is tribute to Mike Herrington and Jim Ozella they keep coaching at Hart." - Eric Sonheimer
: : The parents in Santa Clarita Valley run their best players out and think that players, in all sports, are better than what they are. What's going on up there?
Sondheimer's tweet was about the general approach of the parents there. He wasn't being specific to a sport. Did you really think that it was just about football and baseball just because that's the sport that the coaches mentioned coaches? lol.
Let's not call the parents "tough." Babying the kids and running their best talent to schools like Alemany doesn't mean that their tough. It's actually the opposite.
: And another way to look at it is that he was simply complimenting these two coaches for being resilient and sticking with their approaches, no matter how "tough" the parents might be.
: So what's going on up there? Tough parents, but tougher coaches.
: Oh, and in case you're interested, Sondheimer's tweet had nothing to do with basketball. Herrington coaches football, and Ozella coaches baseball. Both very successfully, I would add.
