: : The Kobe analogy is accurate because the children will grow tired of Lavar's antics especially after leaving college and will want to make their won decisions and live their own lives. Do you really think Lonzo will pass on a 50 to 50 million shoe deal for his Dad's pipe dream brand. This will be the first break away from his Dad's BS. Please, your the one that's stupid.
: Hard to even come up with more than "the Kobe analogy is wrong." The parents isn't like Lavar. Kobe was the wrong one in that situation. Opposite situation if not completely different
Kobe was leaving tickets at will call for his parents at the time he and his father weren't on speaking terms. Kobe didn't tell his parents they couldn't attend his wedding, or witness the birth of their grandchildren, his parents declined not to be there. They separated themselves from him in 2000 for several years, not the other way around.
Now both are in the wrong after their latest public feud, either one could've resolved the situation without making it public. And before anyone blames Kobe for filing a motion, he's not the one who put valuable memorabilia up for auction without full consent of the owner(s).
Agree that Lavar/Lonzo and Joe/Pam/Kobe are different situations entirely.
