: : : : : : : : Is Coach Rebibo underrated? He won state last year and on the path to winning it this year. The future also looks very good with his young team. Even if the rumors are true and Stanley goes to Sierra Canyon, HW will be very good with their freshman. Their jv went 79-3. So those kids can play and should be able to contribute next year. We talk about developing kids and creating a winning culture and Rebibo has done that. Aren't they the favorite to win the Mission next year... and the year after that?
: : : : : How can any of those coaches be underrated when they all have multiple transfers every single year?

: : : : : : : Dude can flat out coach and gets the respect of his players. Sometimes stubborn but what coach isnt

: : : : : : very good coach, but definitely not underrated. think he gets exactly amount of respect he deserves. he has players, gets players, has had players back to his camino days.. PLUS, he won state in weak division, and will win cif in a super weak division. should of been in div 1aa.. so when/if he wins cif, state, or some open games then he'll maybe get the "underrated" tag.
: : : : : : think underrated coaches people don't give enough credit to are:
: : : : : : mitchell, bishop m
: : : : : : zedan, cantwell
: : : : : : diggs, long beach
: : : : : : chaminade coach
: : : : : : st bernards coach
: : : : How can any of those coaches be underrated when they all have multiple transfers every single year?
: : : doing the most with what you have, competing every game, and establishing a certain brand of basketball.. name one BIG time transfer either of those coaches received that would diminish their stature or respect as a coach??
: : : mitchell just beat a team of all stars with thee biggest transfer in the last 10 years, and did it without a major transfer
: : : st bernards coach won cif after not winning 1 game in league and went to state finals without 1 transfer
: : : diggs: wins and competes with homegrown talent, play hard
: : : zedan: went to open 3 years in a row with only 3 d1 guys for those 3 years, while other teams in that span averaged at least 2 per team each year
: : : chaminade coach wins and wins where ever he's at. you guys on here might cry and complain about him, but guarantee big program coaches respect and know what he does year in and year out
: : Torrey Pines (San Diego) Coach John Olive is a remarkable Head Coach. His Xs & Os are incredible and he wins with whoever is on his squad. A true basketball genius in the state.
: Woodbridge High School's John Halagan. Teams are always competitive. Plays with neighborhood kids. Bottom line he cares.
Woodbridge? Lol. Palarz is overrated. His teams are boring, average blah. He's one of those guys that can coach average high school talent but would suffer coaching a really talented player or a really athletic player. He'd hold them back. It's like the triangle offense of high school. Before folks start with the "How can't he coach talented players" just pick one. KJ Martin is gone. He's not talented but he's an athlete. Palarz doesn't know how to put him in the right spots to do well.
I still say that Jamal Adams is one the best. They don't have a strong team but they compete. He just doesn't recruit. If he did they'd be a top program every year.
