: : : Proof that the Foothill league is one of the most bottom of the barrel leagues in SoCal can be seen in the early exists. Hart, West Ranch and Valencia are out! The only one standing is the one that nobody thought would be average and that's Saugus. West Ranch lost to Harvard Westlake. Nobody expected Valencia to win. Hart was plummeted by Village Christian. 75% of Village Christian's roster are kids that live in Santa Clarita but don't want to go to a Foothill school. If Foothill kids stay we'd be a top 3 league. Something has to change to make kids want to stay.

: : : they don't have to go to your school. If the League is as weak as everyone thinks it's better for them to go elsewhere. My question is why are the other decent players staying? The coaches can't be any good either.

: There are no decent players in Foothill

Nothing is as bad as you say it is. Some players enjoy attending the schools they attend. They have friends there. They like their teachers. They are excelling in the classroom.

So they lost a bunch of basketball games. If the players aren't D-I prospects in the first place, then what difference does it really make if they win one or two playoff games.

In the end, in the long run, these kids will go on to have lives beyond high school. Not everyone wins every game. Some have to learn to deal with adversity and losing games is part of that adversity.

Seems you could take a lesson from those kids who have stayed at their schools, who are where they are despite losing and not winning every game. They're becoming mature, grown adults.

What about you?
