: : : Quick blaming 15 year old kids, The fault and blame with a player taking 61 shots in a game rides 100% with the coach of the team and not a 15 year old. A coach can make our break a player by his teachings or lack thereof, but in Melo's case it would be wise For Melo to learn how to make the players around him better.
: : Ain't the so-called coach's fault, that being Gilling, but the real coach's fault, that being Lavar. Let's keep it real
: I may have missed something.. since when did it become completely unheard of to criticize the actions of a teenager? Just because someone is "just a 15 year old kid" doesn't mean he/she can act with impunity, knowing that society has bowed down to our newest god statue- "the golden child." I'm not super old, but I've been around a while, and I know that one of the things that made us stronger adults was that in my neighborhood, you didn't do certain things because Mr. Whoever would call you out for your actions. Adults weren't afraid of the kids. Now, a 15 year old kid gets 92 pts by making a mockery of the game by rarely bothering to pass half-court, shows the body language of a bored math student, and everyone is supposed to shut-up about it? Let's be real- adults shouldn't call out a kid for being a (fill in the blank). But why is it wrong to point out the actions? You can say that the game was played disrespectfully without calling the kid names. Let's just stop with all the "you can't say anything, he's just a ___ year old kid" talk.
: Dad/coach should take a lot of the blame, but a kids' actions are not immune to people's opinions. How else would the kid ever realize that the way they went about it was not cool? Obviously Dad/Coach aren't teaching anything about respecting the game or opponent..
