: : : : : : : So a big surprise around the weak league, Hart is in first place. Okay, here are tonight's parent lines.
: : : : : : : GV (4-4) vs Hart (6-2) - GVs defense is as shaky as that mid 90s navigator rodney rolls around town in. Hart is starting to hit their stride.....No contest. Hart wins, minus 10.
: : : : : : : Saugus (5-3) vs Valencia (5-3) - On paper this looks close, however the Vikes d is about as hard as valuzet's tummy. Look for saugus to get the road win to surge into 2nd place. Saugus minus 3.
: : : : : : : Canyon (0-8) vs West Ranch (4-4) - This could be interesting. The signal dubbed Canyon the most capable 0-8 team in history (hope they were only referring to the players). Shanty James staff needs to get into the playoffs to keep Fab 5 pipeline of players...er I mean cash rolling into WR and might be feeling some heat. Take WR even though Canyon is well rested. WR minus 6.
: : : : : : : Unfortunately, there is no post season magic for any of these teams. Right now this league is about as down as it has been in many years. Don't look for any playoff team here to get more than a first round win.
: : : : : : Agee on your take about Canyon. A more capable Coach would have this team at maybe .500 with a weak Foothill. Unfortunately for the Seniors which is the core of this team, they'll be winless.
: : : : : : and it looks like next year will be even worse.
: : : : How could they be worse than 5-21? Only winning 5 is hard to do......
: : : Maybe you should have applied for the Canyon job "SCV nightmares"...but I guess your only experience is posting on this board.
: : I doubt Mike would be posting his crap on here. Besides, Shady James and Shanty are both on his Fab 5 payroll.
: Haha! Do you know anything, or do you just make stuff up? Shant doesn't coach travel ball. None of the varsity coaches in the league do. Good try though.
Saw the Canyon game yesterday. Really don't understand all the fuss. Seems simple to me, their team lacks talent. For a group of kids that has lost 17 straight, those kids play hard. Credit to their coach. They have no bench. They're PG is 5'4. Best perimeter shooter is a 5'9 Hispanic kid. They don't have the size or depth to compete in the league, yet they led Hart in the final minutes last week, and led WR until the final possession yesterday. Most teams would've quit on eachother and their coach after losing 7 or 8 in a row. It's 17 now and those kids still caught like hell.
