: : : : : : : : Guess the recruiting experiment at Riverside Poly didn't work out, with two starters leaving with a few weeks left. How does CIF allow this, two weeks left and the Davis kid is eligible in 3 days? Maybe all the seniors on sub .500 teams that won't get an at-large should move for a couple weeks to extend their last season.

: : : : : : : Who's the other player that left?

: : : : : : Simmons is no longer on the maxpreps roster either so I'm guessing him.

: : : : : The kid was a bad apple, wasn't happy getting 40 shots a game and had the absolute worst support system. It was nice walking into Poly's gym and sitting in the bleachers listening to his parents, his travel yuckos, and his entourage complain about not getting enough shots and 2nd guessing his coach. It wasn't enough to get a high from the weed smell they brought in to the gym, but to question a coach, who changed his system for this kid, a coach who has enough CIF rings to wear on two hands, but to think that this kid is really better than he actually is. He's a 16 year old freshman who has already hit his athletic ceiling, which makes him a marginal college player, not the big time , special kind of player. He can shoot, but tough to get a shot off at the next level. He transfers to Centennial? Mmmmmm, Giles and Dodson are tight as can be, they run essentially the same system, Poly just changed their system for this player and only to be shit on... Weak! Bad parenting, bad handlers and bad, bad, bad, all around! He will shoot less at Centennial and play far less minutes and his game will finally be shown for all of his flaws. Bad advice from some ding dongs who are trying to make a name for themselves. I guarantee he will be at two more schools before he finishes high school. Coaches will not recruit him for the mindless, retarded, move he made on his team-mates at Poly. No one wants to waste a scholarship on a kid who will quit on a dime and transfer immediately. The only kids getting anything out of this are the remaining Poly players. They will learn so much about responsibility and how to handle themselves and see the immaturity and stupidity of one kid. It is horrible what this kid did to his team at Poly. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! that is about as many OOOOOO's as shots he took per game! Mic drop, I'm out!

: : : : oh and the coach didn't post his stats to Max Preps... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! F-ing crybaby!

: : :
: : : quick question not hating or anything just curious because Im dealing with a transfer dilemma

: : : how is it possible that a kid can quit a team playing varsity then transfer to another school in the middle of the season and still be eligible to play???

: : : please tell me cuz I'm trying to have my kid transfer from a school and not have to sit 30 days even with a legit change of address and cif keeps telling me he has to sit 30 days

: : They are claiming the family, apparently out of the blue, up and bought a home in centennials district. The whole situation appears fishy but I have yet to understand how the cif operates

: what the hell happened to the rule that if you play 20 games and you try and transfer, you have already used that year?

I dare someone to go to Centennial walk across the street, go to the apartment complex and record with a pen and paper how many football/basketball players live there compared to people without high school athletes. Giles brags about his "Dorms" across the street from the school. High School has unfortunately become as easy to switch teams as AAU.
