: : : : : : : : : : I've come on here for the past 3 years and week in week out and seen nothing but bashing/hating on Chino Hills. I've said I wouldn't post about them (not my thing to do on HS boys) but this post is directed specifically to the so called hoops gurus who are just as dumb as the head coaches and critics that go up against Chino Hills.

: : : : : : : : : : Chino Hills plays brilliantly the way all programs should play and that is to the strengths of your best players.

: : : : : : : : : : they rely on 3 basic principles
: : : : : : : : : : 1.Out Rebound
: : : : : : : : : : 2. Force Turnovers
: : : : : : : : : : 3. Maximize the possession (hit 3's or get and 1's)

: : : : : : : : : : Any team that can dictate tempo and battle on the boards with them can beat them but unfortunately many don't have the basketball IQ they claim to have.

: : : : : : : : : Hell no hating won't stop! Lavar and the super duper Olympic sized green light where his boys shoot 87% of the team's shots and everyone else does the dirty work with little to no love equates to smack still being talked.

: : : : : : : : Can we just say CHHS is Eli and Big O's team? If we use Lavar logic, Eli and Big O are one and done out of college and Olympic bound too. I give the Huskies credit for their continued winning streak but there's a lot more going on than just "Team Ball".

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : Caster Troy I don't always agree with you but you get it. Chino Hills is more than just the balls eveyone knows their ROLE and what they contribute helps the whole. It's simple the way they play every game they win they OUT REBOUND the opponent. They FORCE TURNOVERS. & MAXIMIZE their POSSESSION. Whether it's a deep 3 from Gelo & Melo. Or and &1 put back by Eli or Onyeka. If high school coaches spent more time on teaching kids to VALUE the possession, CRASH THE BOARDS, how to defend Screen & Rolls they will be much more competitive against them if not Beating them more often

: : : : : : Incredibly talented kids with accepted roles equate to winning, plain and simple. Yeah ball kids take most of shots, but everyone gets theirs. If you ask me, they play ultimate team ball. Guarantee every kid is truly satisfied with their roles on team. Guarantee there's less in house tension or fighting compared to other traditional teams on average. Guarantee these supposed role players are loosing any real ground in their "rankings"..

: : : : : You are on some other stuff if you think they play the ultimate team ball.'

: : : : If someone said that Chino Hills is ultimate team ball you need to drink bleach. Calabasas has team play.

: : : Seen them practice. 2 balls get worked out on their own, rest of team just goes and hangs out on the other side of the gym. Yes, they win, but what is being taught to all involved? I wonder how good they could be if all were given the same attention?

: :
: : Its untraditional but why not give it credit for it being team ball?? The team is winning against fierce and top competition correct? ? It seems like each player meets and excels their talent and therefore role rt? It seems they leave it all on the court and especially starters are exhausted after every game. Their most famous leader to this point is all the rage for being ultimate team mate in college rt? Team ball, although out of the ordinary but never the less.

: Sure the other guys do their thing and one can't argue with the results, but they aren't playing team ball when two guys shoot 80 times in a game and the other guys play defense, rebound and rarely shoot. They win so I guess that is all that matters and I am not hating on the Balls or the team at all, I admire their results and their talent. Can't even really say if so and so was the coach and they played "team ball" by the traditional and universally accepted definition, that they would would be better. After all, can't improve on perfection!

Chino's style of play is nothing knew...lavar grew up in la in the 70's 80's and had the good sense to teach his kid's traditional crenshaw manual pressure defenses & up-tempo Baketball...they have incorporated the three ball and use it to dominate and wear down other teams...other teams that call set's every possession & don't allow player freedom are doomed...I have felt for yrs that the game is over-coached and played at an unbearably slow pace ..also chino has figured it out EVERYBODY CAN'T DRIBBLE OR SHOOT BUT EVERYBODY DEFENDS AND PASSES...Mater dei is too slow to defend or play uptempo against equal/better talent nothing new seen it before against quality dominguez and king high schools...but the real reason they win is simple they have order...everybody knows their role and plays to their strength...hopefully we will get more coaches allowing the game to be played fast and furious the pace takes these horrible control freaks out the game and also removes superstar referring ...with the perfect mechanics and look at me ref attitudes..they(chino hills) are great for the game
