SoCal Youth Basketball Tournament Announcement

St. Joseph 9th Annual "A" Division
Winter Classic--(November 27, 1997)

No, don't get so excited. This isn't some big time tournament that you thought you missed. No, it's not a high school tournament with Ray Young and his team from St. Joseph-Notre Dame. It's for the much small ones instead.

Twenty-eight boys and girls teams from Los Angeles and Orange Counties are entered for the December 5-13 Saint Joseph Elementary School's 9th Annual "A" Divisiopn Winter Classic Basketball Tournament. The tournament will consist of pool play, and the finals will be held on the afternoon of December 13. Sponsorships are still needed to defray the cost of printing the tournament program and for halftime events. Call (562) 431-5562 or (562) 594-4324 for further details. St. Joseph is located at 6200 E. Willow Street in Long Beach. The proceeds from the tournament will support the athletic program at St. Jospeh.
