SoCal College Games Tonight--(November 15, 1997)

There are a few SoCal college teams that will be in action tonight. Here's what's up:

Cal State Fullerton at No. 16 Utah--6:30 p.m. (PST). No TV; No Radio

The Titans will feature guards Chris Dade and Chris St. Clair, both fifth-year seniors, and soph Ike Harmon, (38 points in the first two exhibition wins) . Utah is ranked 16th, has three returning starters, were WAC champs last year, with a 29-4 record. Utah features Center Michael Doleac (6'-11"). The Titans haven't won in Utah since 1988.

University of San Francisco at UC Irvine--7:00 p.m. No TV; Radio--KUCI-FM (88.9)

Irvine was 1-25 last season. The Dons are a preseason pick to win the WCC. UCI will have Lamarr Parker (13.4 ppg) at the point, as well as Ben Jones, (6'-7" Fr. F). USF has four returners; they were 16-13 overall and 9-5 in WCC play last year, and feature Hakeem Ward (6'-6" F) who averaged 15.4 ppg, Damian Cantrell (6'-6" F) who average 6.6 ppg last year.

Loyola Marymount at UNLV--7:30 p.m. TV--FSW2; Radio--KXLU-FM (88.9).

LMU is 0-2 in exhibition this season after finishing 7-21 and last in the West Coast Conference last season. Senior forwards Kenny Hotopp and Ben Ammerman are the floor leaders for LMU. UNLV has five returning players and three redshirts from a team that was 22-10, and feature Tyrone Nesby (16 ppg, 7 rbs), and PF Keon Clark (14 ppg, 10 rbs).

Florida A&M at Long Beach State--7:30 p.m. No TV; No Radio

Long Beach will be without Andrew Betts (7'-1" C) who is not eligible until Dec.
20. Ian Milley, (6'-10" Fr. C) will start, as will Grant Stone at forward, Quincy Nuckles at SG, and Antrone Lee (6'-7") who has to be one of the largest points anywhere in college hoops. Florida A&M will feature Jerome James, (7'-1") at center, who was All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference last year, who averaged 16.1 ppg and 9 rbs. FSU was 8-19 last year.
