Cal State Fullerton Signs
Donahue & Two More--(November 21, 1997)

It was earlier reported that Matt Donahue (6'-1" Sr. PG, Etiwanda High, Etiwanda, CA) had verbally committed to Cal State Fullerton. This last week, he made it official, signing his National Letter of Intent to become a Titan next year.

Fullerton also signed Brandon Campbell (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) from Cardinal Ritter High, St. Louis, MO., Josh Helbig (6'-6" Sr. SG/SF) from East Belleville High School in Belleville, Illinois, and Mitch Devé (7'-2" Sr. C) from La Cueva High School, Albuquerque, NM)

Donahue made a big time impression on some folks at the Pump Brothers All-Star Camp in Dominguez this past July, and at a few of the summer and fall tournaments, with him ability to get to the basket and dunk. He can play very nicely at both ends of the floor, and will be a major signing for the Titans. He's also got a nice jumpshot out to about 17'-19' range. His Etiwanda team should be fun to watch this year, and they also have Gary Colbert (6'-3" Sr PG/SG) who is a very skilled point guard, who reportedly will wait until spring to make any decisions; he may enroll at a JC to bring up his academics before transferring to a D-I school.

The Titans will be graduating seven seniors this year, so there will be a lot of room for the incoming freshman to make an impression. Our congratulations to Matt Donahue and his family.
