USC Gets Some Real Big
News from Bluthenthal--(November 10, 1997)

Michael Miller of WestCoastHoops.com was at the Westchester practice today and reports that David Bluthenthal (6'-7" Sr. F) will sign with USC on Wednesday, November 12. This is great news for USC, and not so good news for everyone else in the Pac 10, including UCLA, which reportedly did not want to offer David a scholarship until spring, "maybe". Bluthenthal was also recruited by Oklahoma State, and is a terrific player, having played on the USA Open Men's Maccabi team this past summer, and the year before competed on the Team LA Maccabi squad coached by Howard Abrams of Montclair and Steve Goldstein of LaSalle in New Jersey. David is a transfer this year to LA Westchester from Venice. Congratulations David, even if you would have looked better in blue and gold (either baby blue or navy).
