City Section: Scores for
Tuesday, January 14--(January 15, 1998)

As you know, we've been trying to keep up with most, if not all the LA City Section games, and we think we've just about got most of them from yesterday. Well, all except the Magnet Schools, and that's just a function of not having enough time to do the input. The results are normally published the next day after the games on our "Composite Schedules & Scores" page, and we've been doing that since December. But since conference play started yesterday, we thought we'd bring them to your attention. No details, just the scores. So here goes:

Birmingham 59, Chatsworth 52
San Fernando 79, Cleveland 70 (OT)
Taft 76, Granada Hills 66
El Camino Real 62, Kennedy 60
Westchester 84, University 48
Los Angeles 87, Hamilton 83
Manual Arts 78, Venice 68
Palisades 59, Fairfax 51
Belmont 61, Eagle Rock 57
Marshall 70, Verdugo Hills 43
Lincoln 46, Hollywood 44
Franklin 74, Wilson 54
North Hollywood 72, Poly 68 (OT)
Grant 66, Reseda 58
Canoga Park 91, Van Nuys 59
Sylmar 55, Monroe 49
Locke 54, Bell 52
Jordan 62, Huntington Park 57
Fremont 92, Roosevelt 33
South Gate 67, Jefferson 52
Washington 61, Carson 60
Narbonne 81, Gardena 77
Dorsey 66, Banning 63
Crenshaw 105, San Pedro 52

There, now wasn't that painless? We won't even begin to attempt to compile the Southern Section scores and results, because that's just way too overwhelming. We'd suggest that if you're interested in a school not listed above, that you get yourself a good print copy of the LA Times, the Orange County Register, the San Bernardino paper, maybe a copy of the Ventura Press and don't forget the Long Beach Press-Telegram. If you're interested in a particular school, there are ample resources out there, and we would suggest you check either our "Stricly SoCal" page, or see if there's a link to the school in particular that you're interested in on our "SoCal Teams and Leagues" page. You never know, the school you're interested in just might be the best source of the information you're seeking.
