A Tale Of Two Chrises:
Bennett & Williams--(Sept. 22, 1998)

UMKC head coach Bob Sundvold is looking at two of the big men who played on the Valley Slam team: Chris Bennett (6'-10" Sr. C/F) Pasadena Marshall, has set up a home visit with University of Missouri KC, and Coach Sundvold also had an in-home visit with Chris Williams (6'-8" Sr. F) Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on Sunday night following the Pump Shootout.

Bennett had to be the busiest big man on Sunday at the Shootout, playing on at least four different teams, and we saw him in two games on Sunday with Valley Slam as they went up against Anaheim Hills and Salt Lake Metro, then he played with Sonora as they went up against Pump-N-Run I, and then he played with PnR II as they went against N. Riverside Slam-N-Jam.

Bennett is a very strong, athletic player, who can post up, plays ok with his back to the basket, and should be a high D-I prospect, and we're surprised that apparently there are no Pac-10's involved with him yet.
