Josh Fischer of La Habra Stays Close
To Home, Will Be A Titan--(April 12,1998)

Coach Bob Hawking announced on Friday that Cal State Fullerton signed Josh Fischer (6'-9" Sr. F) from La Habra High.

The LA Times reported the signing, and quoted Hawking as saying "We're really pleased to have him as part of our program. He averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds this past season. He's a 6'-9" guy who can shoot and has the attributes to go inside or play on the perimeter."

Fischer was an All-Freeway League team selection the last two years in a row. He's the first player signed by the Titans this spring. During the fall signing period, Fullerton signed guard Brandon Campbell of St. Louis, forward Josh Helbig of Belleville, Ill., point guard Matt Donahue of Etiwanda High and center Mitch Deve of Albuquerque, N.M.
