CIF/Cal-Hi's All-State Teams Are Announced
And There's No Surprises--(April 2, 1998)

Cal Hi Sports, a newsletter which is published weekly during the school year, which also publishes Student Sports magazine, has announced its selections for the Player of the Year, All-State Temas by Division, and the All-State Underclass players in each division. For now, we'll give you the All-State Teams. As in real life, the SoCal players named to the teams dominated, with SoCal getting 7 of 10 in Division I, 7 of 10 in D-II, 8 of 10 in D-III, 6 of 10 in D-IV, and 7 of 10 in D-V. What you'll notice is that the list is mostly composed of seniors. In fact there are nine non-seniors, and only two sophs among those nine.
