Seventh Place Game:

San Marcos 82, Live Oak 37: The Royals got defensive about their slow start to the season, holding their opponents to just 10 baskets out of 45 shots en route to winning the seventh place game at the San Luis Obispo Tournament."We played with much better defensive intensity,'' said Coach Chris Hantgin, whose club improves to 1-2. "We also had only nine turnovers. We really took care of the ball, and I think that led to a lot of good offensive opportunities."
