Scouts, Both Pro & College--(Dec. 10, 1998)

Schea Cotton continues to impress college and pro scouts with the level of his game, and he did it again this past Saturday night at the Orange Coast/Kiwanis Tournament, yet another JUCO tournament featuring local teams.  Cotton   scored 32 points in Long Beach City College's 75-60 victory over Orange Coast College in the championship final of the Orange Coast/Kiwanis men's basketball tournament Saturday.

The Orange Coast Pirates (5-3) trailed by as many as 15 during the game, but cut the lead to one on one of three of David Castleton's three-pointers with 4:30 remaining.  The Vikings (11-0), behind Cotton's great foul shooting, 15 of 16  went on a 19-5 run to shut the door once and for all.   Cotton was named tournament MVP.  Castleton was the leading scorer for OCC with 13 points.
