Eric Rowher Looking At Both
SDSU &  Air Force Now--(Oct. 31, 1998)

We spent a lot of today and this evening watching the ARC Fall League Playoffs (more on that later),  and we also spent some time talking with Eric Rowher (6'-9" Sr. C) from Burbank High tonight.  Eric was scheduled to play with his "Bank" team, but pulled up with a sore hip tendon and decided to sit this one out, so he took over the coaching duties for his team against the Pasadena Marshall Fundamental team which featured Chris Bennett (6'-8" Sr. C) and Deveryon Mackey (6'-4" . And if he never played another day, he'd have a bright future in coaching.   But seriously, Eric is not about to stop playing, and he's taken two official visits so far, one to Air Force last month, and then he visited San Diego State last week for their "Midday Madness" festivities. "I really like San Diego," Eric told us. "David Abramowitz is just amazing, and Vincent Okotie is a lot quicker than I thought he would be for a big guy.  And Myron Epps and I hung out a lot together, and I really enjoyed that."

We would expect a few more schools to get involved with Eric soon if he doesn't sign in the next few weeks, but from what we can tell, it may come down to Air Force or SDSU. "I'm going to discuss it with my parents, and we'll try to agree on a school," Eric said.
