Double Pump Fall Premier: Tim Thomas
Playaz Are Here--(Sept. 23, 1999)

We had earlier reported that Eddie Griffin (6'-9" Sr. PF/C), the consensus top player of the summer at ABCD Camp and the adidas Big Time tournament, was going to be in Cherry Hill, New Jersey for the Gym Rat Midnight Madness exposure event tomorrow night, and the other speculation had been that the entire TTP team would be in Maryland for the Charlie Webber Tournament. . . .

But it appears that the Pumps have done it again, and they reportedly flew into Los Angeles last night.  We haven't actually seen Eddie or the rest of the players, but they are all supposed to be here in town for the adidas Double Pump Fall Premier Tournament.  We got the roster last night, and here's who was listed:

Mike Cleaves (5'-11" Sr. PG) Patterson JFK
Jeremiah King (6'-3" Jr. G) Patterson Catholic
Torian Jones (6'-4" Sr. G) Pennsbury
John Allen (6'-5" Jr. G) Coatsville
Marcus Green (5'-8" Sr. PG) Norristown
Marcus Toney-El (6'-5" Jr. F) Seton Hall Prep
Danny Hinds (6'-5" Jr. F) Allentown
Eddie Griffin (6'-9" Sr. F/C) Roman Catholic
Jamsl Forchson (6'-6" Jr. F) Roman Catholic
Mark Curry (6'-5" Sr. F) Seton Hall Prep

Their first game is scheduled to be tonight at 9:10 p.m. against Inland, and we haven't seen Elvert Perry's roster yet (he evidently didn't get one to Jan Bryant in time for the printing of the coaches' packet), but we're anticipating that he may have some of the prep school guys in addition to some of the better younger talent, including very talented freshman Richard Cobbs  and soph Leon Rosborough.  This is going to be a tremendous game and you won't want to miss it.
