The adidas-EBO 3rd Annual Sweet 16 Invitational tournament will get going this weekend, and it's conveniently scheduled to start on Saturday, thus allowing everyone to first check out the Fullcourt Press "Fall Hoops Showcase" on Friday at Long Beach City College, an event which will feature the Top 24 Sophomores, Top 24 Juniors, two groups of seniors, the Top 24 Seniors, and the next 24 (Top 48) Seniors, and finally a Top 24 JUCO game.

The EBO Sweet 16 will feature some of the top teams in California. Here's who's scheduled to come so far:

Sacramento Renegades: A team which will feature Aaron Lawrence (5'-10" Jr. PG), Miguel Flores (6'-9" Jr. PF), and Day'an Walker (6'-0" Sr. PG) among others.

Colorado Superflow:  This is a team we didn't see in Vegas this year, but we remember them from the Pump Best of Summer from a year ago, and they'll feature Jimmy Dadiotis (6'-2" Jr. SG/PG), Matt Clark (6'-0" Sr. PG), Julian Bigelow (5'-10" Sr. PG), Nate Weaver (6'-7" Sr. PF) and Chad France (6'-5" Sr. SF/PF).

Oakland Slam N Jam: Oakland will be bringing one really tall line up again, this time with Jair Veldhuis (6'-10" Sr. PF), Joe See (6'-0" Jr. SG), Nick Enzweiler (6'-6" Sr. SF/SG), and DeMarshay Johnson (6'-9" Jr. PF) among others.

Oakland Slam N Jam II:  The No. II team will feature guys like Chuck Hayes (6'-6" Jr. PF/SF), Charles Brown (6'-3" Jr. PG/SG), Jamal Hill (6'-4" Sr. SG).

Berkeley St. Mary's Panthers:  Ebon Glenn (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF), Victor Venters (6'-7" Sr. SF), and Kellen Dixon (6'-5" Sr. SF).

Modesto Slam N Jam: Chris Armstrong (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF), Nick Tabari (6'-2" Sr. PG/SG), Davis Paris (6'-8" So. PF), Jared Ines (6'-8" Sr. PF).

Grizzlies: We have no idea where they're actually from, but we're guessing it's somewhere near Cal Berkeley.  We don't know all their players either, but we do know they'll have Adam Wall (5'-11" Jr. PG), Andreas Bloch (6'-8" Sr. PF), and Corey Wiggins (6'-3" Sr. SG/PG).

Belmont Shore I:  This is the usual suspects again, and will feature Travon Bryant (6'-8" Sr. PF), Wesley Stokes (5'-10" Sr. PG),  A.J. Diggs (5'-9" Sr. PG),  possibly the Craven twins, Errick (6'-2" Jr. PG/SG) and Derrick (6'-2" Jr. SG/PG), Scottie Stern (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF), and also possibly Ryan Mollins (6'-5" Sr. SG).  Although the roster we were furnished had Ellis Myles (6'-7" Sr. PF) listed, we don't think he'll be with Belmont, but will be playing with Compton Magic (Compton Centennial HS) which was a late addition to the tournament.  Likewise, although the sheet we got had both Shaun Michel (6'-2" Jr. PG) and his older brother Brett (6'-5" Sr. SG/SF) listed, we don't have any confidence that they'll be there since they were also listed on the Belmont LB Fall Hoops Classic rosters but didn't show.

Berkeley Bees:   Austin Nichols (6'-5" Sr. SF/SG), Justin McDaniels (6'-8" Sr. PF), David Doubley (6'-2" Sr. SG/PG), Jason Holman (6'-5" Sr. SG/SF).

805 Express I:  This is George Albanez' No. 1 team, and it should have Alfred Williams (6'-3" Sr. SG), Marquel Abrams (6'-9" Sr. PF), Dominick Ingerson (6'-3" Jr. PG/SG), James Johnson (6'-6" Sr. SF), James Akinjo (5'-11" Jr. PG), and possibly Jason Morrissette (6'-5" Sr. SF/SG) who is also listed as playing for 805 (although that would be a new one for him).

805 II:  The "younger" team for 805, this one is really just another team thrown together for this tournament and is slated to have Franklin Thompson (6'-4" Sr. SF/SG), Brent Williams (6'-2" Sr. SG) Stephen Graybill (6'-2" So. PG), Jimmy Kady (6'-11" Jr. C).

EBO will also split into two teams for this one, but the usual suspects will be in attendance (Deshawn Stevenson, Ronald Dosty, Marcel Cummings, Chris Lopez, Deshawn Anderson, Cedric Barrow, Sredrick Powe, Jamaal Williams, Maurice Tyree, Phillip Johnson, etc. . ) and they'll also have some additional guys from Washington Union like Jordan Brice and some other players like Baba Car Pouye (6'-10" Sr. ) from Africa, Chris Simms (6'-3" Sr. SG), Antonio Lawrence (6'-3" So. SG), Brandon Bender (6'-10" Jr. F/C, Milan Milovanovic (6'-2" Sr. G), Judena Seck (6'-3" So. G), and Maruice Shaw (6'-8" Fr. F/C).

Hustling Eagles: Clovis West will be there with Charlie Rodriguez (6'-8" So. PF) and one of the top point guards in the West, Chris Hernandez (6'-0" Jr. PG).

The Hood will also be coming with Tyson Chandler (7'-0" Jr. C/F) and the rest of the Compton Dominguez team, as a late addition.

Mats also told us this weekend that two other teams will be added, one to replace a Canadian team which decided not to come at the last minute,   and we hear that Compton Magic (which is Compton Centennial HS, coached by Etop Udo-Ema, and featuring Omar Weaver, Ellis Miles, etc) will be there too.

All in all, this will be a great tournament, and one not to be missed if you're anywhere near the Fresno area.
