Best In The West Tourney
Teams Announced--(Sept. 29, 1999)

The Best in the West Tournament, hosted by Artesia High School has announced the field which will be playing this year. This year's event will be the 40th annual Best in the West, and that's a major milestone for any tournament, much less a high school event. But year in and year out, this one just keeps getting better and Wayne Merino and his staff always get the top talent and assemble them in one location. And this one will be one of the best ever.

The tournament will run from December 27-30 at Long Beach State. Here are the 32 teams slated to attend:

These are not the brackets or the pools, and we won't have those for a while. We'll have more news and previews on a lot of these teams as the tournament approaches. For now though, make your travel plans and mark your calendars, because this will be one of, if not the Best in the West.
