Double Pump West Coast All Star Camp:
Day Two Schedule (July 12, 1999)

Like last week, players the second day will just be adjusting to getting up around 6:30 a.m. after finishing a night of hoops which didn't end until close to 11:00 p.m.; most will generally be getting up well ahead of the 7:30 a.m. breakfast, and some will even be working out in the gym at 6:30 a.m. when it opens.  Those who've been working out all year, training their endurance, running, lifting and getting fit, will be ready; those who've been taking it easy  will have a bit more difficulty.  But either way, kids will be discovering what it takes to play at the next level, and learning that they have to bring it every day because if they don't someone else will be doing it.

Following breakfast, the camp will split into two, with one half working with Dave Hopla who will conduct shooting station drills, while the other half of the camp attends a seminar on recruiting and the NCAA Clearinghouse process.  The morning session will also feature a short talk by Andre McCarter, who coaches the Touch Glove team in the Say No Classic League.  Lunch will be from 11:45 until 1:00 p.m. so if it's games you want to see, you really should wait until the afternoon session gets started. Games will run from 1:15 p.m. until around 5:30, and then the campers will break for dinner until 6:10 p.m. when they'll be greeted by the evening speaker, Jerry West, former NBA legend (well, he's still a legend, so he's really not "former") and current Laker GM

Following the Jerry West talk, the camp will again break out into games, and they'll run from 6:45 p.m. until around 10:30 when the fourth game concludes.

Here is the game schedule for Monday, July 12.  Consult the rosters (posted separately) to see who's who for this schedule:
