High Five America All-Star Roster--(July 27, 1999)

As a part of letting us know about the Nike Summer National Championship event, Dave Axelson also faxed us the roster for the High Five American team, which is the host team for the event.  Here's the roster:

Calvin Brown (5'-10" Sr. PG) Eastside Prep, Palo Alto, CA
Mike Stockalper (6'-0" Sr. PG/SG) University, San Diego, CA
Blake Perry (6'-0" Sr. PG) Torrey Pines, San Diego, CA
Brad Nelson (6'-2" Sr. SG) Torrey Pines, San Diego, CA
Ryan Dillion (6'-4" Sr. SG/SF) Victor Valley, Victorville, CA
Nate Staggs (6'-5" Sr. SF) University, San Diego, CA
James Profit (6'-6" Sr. SG/SF) Serra, San Diego, CA
Adam Olson (6'-6" Sr. PG/SG/SF) USDHS, San Diego, CA
Chris Walton (6'-7" Sr. SF/PF) USDHS, San Diego, CA
Teyo Johnson (6'-7" Sr. SG/SF/PF) Mariner HS, Everett, WA
Kam Walton (6'-8" Sr. PF/C) USDHS, San Diego, CA

Obviously, this is a very talented team, featuring some of the top players in San Diego and SoCal, and one of the best on the West Coast in Teyo Johnson, who is probably going to play football rather than basketball next year in college, and he's being recruited by most of the top football powers.  There is a rumor circulating that Teyo will move to San Diego for his senior year, but we've been unable to reach him to confirm it; we'll try to get some word from him when we make it down to San Diego later this week.  The team also features one of the top combo shooting guard-small forwards in all of San Diego, James Profit, who impressed a lot of people up in LA during the spring at the Pump Easter tournament and the Shootout at Dominguez Hills.

We haven't seen the two Waltons since the EBO Hoop Summit in Fresno where they played for the Pump N Run Black team, and they've reportedly been playing most of the summer with their high school team, so hopefully we'll get a little better look and find out what's up with their recruiting this week.
