Tom Maier's 13th Annual West Coast
Summer Basketball Camp--(May 27, 1999)

Tom Maier, formerly the head coach at Chadwick School still has his hand in the coaching end of things, and he will once again run the   "West Coast Basketball Camp" at Chapman University this summer.   This will be the 13th consecutive year that he's run the camp and it promises to be one of the best ever. Of course, this camp is not to be confused with the Double Pump "West Coast All Star Camp", even though they both have similar names.   Different concepts, and Tom's camp is, by and large, for younger campers, although there will certainly be a good deal of younger varsity and jv players as well.

Tom's camp will be held on the campus of Chapman University in the city of Orange (which has for the last few years also been the site of the Byron Scott Camps), and this year, the sessions are as follows:

Dates: July 11-16 Resident
July 12-16 Day 9:00am - 5:00pm
Ages: Boys and Girls, ages 7-16
Tuition: $335 overnight
$160 day

The camp will features instruction in fundamentals, as well as game play, and guest speakers such as Dave Hopla and Danny Armstrong.  The camp will also feature daily swimming,  and a trip to Knott's Berry Farm (for the overnight campers only). According to Tom, each camper receives a t-shirt, an evaluation of skills, and a camp color photo, a certificate of participation, and a basketball.   For further information and a brochure: contact Tom Maier at (310) 547-0667
