Denver Lopez Commits To Cal State
Dominguez Hills--(March 28, 1999)

Denver Lopez (6'-1 Sr. PG) from La Puente Nogales High School has committed and will sign with Cal State Dominguez Hills for next year.  Lopez was the co-MVP of the Sierra League this year, and in commiting to CSDUH turned down scholarships from several D-I programs (or D-I's about to be) including UC Riverside (which is currently D-II, but is moving to D-I), Cal State Sacramento and Cal State Fullerton.  Apparently Denver was concerned about playing time at the D-I schools, and believed that the situation would be better for him and his family at Dominguez Hills.
